NZ Public Holidays
In addition to Saturdays and Sundays, the following list sets out official holidays or days when the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand is closed. Any deadlines which fall on a day where the Office is closed are automatically taken to fall on the next working day on which the Office is open. Further, New Zealand is party to the Paris Convention, Article 4C(3) of which allows filings on the next working day if it is an official holiday or day when the Office is not open in the country where protection is sought.
Christmas Day 25th December until the Day after New Years Day 2nd January or if the 1st of January falls on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, then the next one or two days in January.
Wellington Anniversary Day observed on the second to last Monday of January.
Waitangi Day 6th February (or observed the following Monday if 6th February falls on a Saturday or Sunday).
Good Friday and Easter Monday
ANZAC Day 25th April (or observed the following Monday if 25th April falls on a Saturday or Sunday).
King's Birthday observed on the first Monday of June.
Matariki Observance Day observed on a Friday in either June or July
Labour Day observed on the last Monday in October.
