Exploitation

Once your idea has been protected and has become more than just an idea, it is time to think about commercialising it.  Where to from here?

Intellectual property rights, just like other types of property, can be bought, sold, mortgaged, leased, licensed or used by their owners either in whole or in part.

The next step in the process will depend on whether you want to produce and market your product yourself, or whether you want to seek the help of others to produce and market your product.

If you are looking for practical assistance with commercialising your IP, we would recommend contacting either Neil Sayer of Globalise [www.globalise.co.nz] or Brian Dorricott.  Neil runs a New Zealand based business coaching and consultancy practice and may be able to assist you with commercialisation issues and growth of your business generally. Brian runs an Australian based business consultancy focusing on funding and commercialisation of new ventures.
