As a trade mark specialist, Thomas helps his clients protect and enforce their trade marks and related intellectual property rights. He has experience working for individuals, small and medium businesses, and large corporates both locally and overseas. Before joining Pipers, Thomas worked for another leading New Zealand IP firm.

Thomas advises on the full spectrum of trade mark and branding matters including freedom to operate analysis, filing and protection strategies, general prosecution and domain names. Thomas also assists with trade mark opposition, revocation and infringement proceedings including fair trading, passing off and copyright.

When he is not working Thomas spends most of his spare time relaxing with his young family and, if his daughter Valentina lets him, watching sport or reading.
