Peter specialises in mechanical and electro-mechanical patent drafting and prosecution work.  He has worked in the field of mechanical engineering since 1979 when he began his training to become a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer at Air New Zealand.

Peter later gained a mechanical engineering qualification at NZCE and a Bachelor of Engineering, and became a Chartered Engineer of the London Engineering Council and a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society of the United Kingdom.

Outside of work Peter enjoys spending time with his family, tinkering with contraptions and keeping fit.

Prior to joining Pipers, Peter worked in various mechanical engineering roles in New Zealand, Fiji and England, including as a project engineer for a start-up UK based airline collaborating with airframe and airframe component manufacturers in the development of airliner configurations to suit the European airline requirements.
